North Yorkshire Moors Railway & Whitby
A wonderful day out!

The North Yorkshire Moors Railway is the country's most popular heritage railway. The 18-mile line runs through the beautiful North York Moors National Park, between the market town of Pickering and the village of Grosmont and through to Whitby with its ancient abbey, stunning coastline, and deliciously fresh fish and chips. We'd recommend a trip to the Magpie Cafe, described by Rick Stein as 'the best fish and chip shop in Britain'. We join the train in Pickering for the 12h00 service arriving in Whitby at 13h35 with a free afternoon until 4pm when the coach will return you to your joining point.
